Subscribing locally is the best value — and you never have to remember to reorder.
Yes — select your quantity on the order page. The delivery fee is flat regardless of how many loaves you order, so ordering more is the better value.
Delivery & freshness
Local delivery: typically within hours of baking, same day.

Illinois shipping: loaves are baked Wednesday morning and ship the same day via UPS Ground. Most customers receive their loaf on Thursday — within 24 hours of it leaving the oven. You'll get a tracking number by email once it ships.
The long fermentation naturally extends shelf life — you'll get 4–5 days at room temperature in a paper bag or bread box, or up to a week if you keep it cut-side-down wrapped in a clean towel.

You can also freeze it. Slice before freezing, then toast straight from frozen — it comes back almost entirely.
Yes — the crust of a real sourdough is actually protective. The loaves are packaged specifically for UPS Ground and the 24-hour transit window. Your loaf will arrive in excellent shape.
Subscriptions
You subscribe once at checkout and a loaf arrives every week on your delivery day. Billing recurs weekly to the card you used at checkout. You don't have to do anything — it just shows up.
Go to the subscription management page, enter your email, and you'll be taken to a secure customer portal where you can pause, cancel, update your payment method, view invoices, and update your contact info — all self-serve, no calls or emails required.

To change your loaf quantity or delivery frequency: cancel your current subscription in the portal, then place a new order at justbread.shop/order with your updated preferences.
Yes — the manage your subscription page lets you update your card, billing address, and payment details anytime.
No. You can cancel after your first delivery if you want — though most people don't. Cancel anytime from the manage your subscription page.
The bread
Flour, water, salt. That's the entire ingredient list — no commercial yeast, no dough conditioners, no preservatives, no additives of any kind.
A long cold fermentation develops flavor that simply doesn't exist in a fast-fermented bread. The wild yeast works slowly at refrigerator temperatures, producing lactic and acetic acids that create complexity in the crumb and a crust with real depth.

Most commercial sourdough ferments for a few hours. Nine days isn't a marketing number — it's the actual process.
No — this is a wheat flour bread. Some people with wheat sensitivity report tolerating long-fermented sourdough better than conventional bread, but it is not gluten-free and is not appropriate for anyone with celiac disease.
Community
The Center for Food Equity in Medicine (CFFEM) runs a grocery delivery program that gets real food to people in need in our community. JustBread donates bread to this program regularly — when you order, you're helping keep that going. Learn more at foodequityinmedicine.org.
